What were some of the highlights of your time in the US?

The friendships I made while I was over there. The amazing golf courses and tournaments I got to play in. How well the college looked after and treated me, they gave me every resource possible to give me the best opportunity to succeed at my studies and my sport.

How many American states did you travel to while in College?

Roughly 15

Describe a typical day in your life as a student/athlete

A typical day revolved around study and practice. My schedule was always set up to have my classes in the morning. I’d have breakfast and head of to class. My classes would roughly finish after lunch leaving the afternoon to head to practice. I would spend the afternoon with my team practicing and generally just having fun and hanging out with the rest of the guys.

What is one piece of advice you would give to high school students considering the US College pathway?

Do it! There is no better experience then studying and playing a sport in the American college system and it would be the best experience of your life. Just make sure you have aligned your studies in high school with requirements for the college system giving you the easiest transition possible.

What are you up to now?

Right now I’m about to have my bachelor degree and I already have my associates. I’m about to turn professional in golf and have been able to transition into becoming a professional thanks to the connection I made while I was studying in the US
